It's all about Flagstones.

This is the floor for the downstairs half of the casa nova. Between this and the fireplace, it's pretty clear I'm going for just a hint of actual castle in the old, "A man's home is his castle," imperative.
The upstairs by contrast is all wood. No carpets. I never liked wall to wall carpet. Area rugs, yes. Carpeting no.

That is a gorgeous looking floor. The colours in the tiles look amazing. How are you going to avoid spending hours just looking at patterns in your floor?

I plan to spend hours in that very pursuit, Cindy. Shelly will just have to accept that deadlines will suffer, once I move in.

I would totally be doing that, spending hours and hours looking at that floor. So are we going to get pictures of the heart of the home, the kitchen? Please?!? Pretty Please?

We all here in MN have chosen our favorite piece (of your stone floor I mean) you will have to choose your own, which cannot be mine. Well, it is your house so I guess it could be mine but there are so many options, it's not likely anyway.

The heart of this home will be the library, but yes, as the kitchen is completed I'll share the pics. I have some pics here somewhere of the stone that's going to become the countertops, if I can find them.
